Tom Wolfe novel to big screen
Tom Wolfe has signed a deal for a big screen version of his 2004 novel I Am Charlotte Simmons. The adaptation will be the first since the poorly-received "Bonfire Of The Vanities" movie in 1987.
Variety magazine reported that Liz Friedlander (will helm the project. She is best known for directing videos for artists including U2, REM and Celine Dion.
Earlier this year, Wolfe ended his 42-year relationship with US publisher Farrar, Straus & Giroux, selling the rights to his next novel to Little, Brown .
