Waterstone's Williams takes HMV role
23.04.08 Graeme Neill
Waterstone's operations director Nick Williams is leaving the bookseller to join parent company the HMV Group, where he will work on the long term strategic growth of both Waterstone's and HMV.
Williams joined Waterstone's from restaurant chain Whitbread five and a half years ago, and will take up his new position on Monday. His responsibilities will pass to David Rowntree, northern divisional manager, on an interim basis, with Waterstone's regional and divisional managers to report to Rountree until a replacement is found."
Managing director Gerry Johnson said the promotion reflected the "significant contribution" made by Williams at Waterstone's.
