Sporty Summer Reading Challenge
21.04.08 Benedicte Page
Sport is to be the focus of this year's Summer Reading Challenge, the annual library initiative to encourage children to read six books during their summer holidays. The Challenge will be called Team Read, and its sport theme will tie in with the National Year of Reading's focus for August.
Team Read will be supported by an interactive website, to be launched on 16th June, and the RNIB National Library Services is also making large print materials available to help children with visual impairments take part. The Reading Agency, which runs the Summer Reading Challenge, said the scheme would be making "a key contribution" to the NYR.
