The meaning of love in Denmark
Lisa Brannstrom of Andrew Nurnberg is doing widespread European deals for a hot Danish debut before taking it to UK publishers after the fair.
Torben Guldberg's Theses on the Existence of Love has already attracted a German auction and offers from Italy and Holland at LBF. The book is to have a 12,000 initial print run, huge by Danish standards, when published by Lindhard and Ringhof later this year.
The author is a 32-year-old actor, and the novel, set across 500 years of European history, features a man who cannot die until he discovers the meaning of love.
