Pan Mac move for Halton
ICM co-director Margaret Halton is joining Pan Macmillan as rights director for the adult division. She replaces Chantal Noel, who left for a position as Penguin rights director.
Halton joined ICM in 2000 as foreign rights director in the New York office, and then relocated to London to co-run the newly formed London office with the late Kate Jones from 2003 until the merger with Curtis Brown. Before that, she was rights director at Fourth Estate and she previously held posts at Granta, Faber and Harper Collins. She joins Pan Mac on 1st May.
Macmillan c.e.o. Annette Thomas said: "David North and I are delighted that he was able to finalise this appointment. Margaret is a seasoned professional with an impressive track record; securing her as rights director is a real coup." Halton added: "I am delighted to be joining a trade publisher I have long admired, and to be coming to work with a great rights department."
