Random House rolls out widget
Random House UK's "browse and search" widget is to be introduced to the websites of Play.com and Gardners, as well as to book community sites Lovereading and BookRabbit, in the next few weeks.
It will be rolled out across all of RH UK's sites in the next few months, and will also be available for more than half of Sebastian Faulks' books on his new author site when it launches this week.
There are more than 500 RHG titles available via the widget now, and RHG hopes to have more than 5,000 available by the end of the year. RHG is also gearing up to launch its first e-books in July.
The move follows Penguin UK's pre-London Book Fair announcement that from September it would release all of its new titles in the .epub format, making them available from the company's own websites and from digital retailers, at the same price as the print edition.
