Borders author site goes live
08.04.08 Graeme Neill
Borders has launched its BookZone website, which offers browsers the chance to watch more than 100 author interviews. The website is available at www.bookzone.tv and includes interviews with Terry Pratchett, Ian Rankin and a three-part interview with Joanna Trollope, where she describes a new-found love of Chelsea football club.
Borders is due to launch its new transactional website within the next few weeks. When it goes live readers will be able to access the interviews hosted on BookZone when they search for a book. The website also includes book news and the opportunity for readers to upload videos of themselves reviewing titles.
The bookseller is broadcasting two half-hour shows daily on the Baby Channel on satellite TV, which will be hosted by Nina Sebastiane, a former host of ITV’s "Loose Women", and ex-VH1 presenter Samantha Norman.
The website is operating in conjunction with internet company Simply Media.
