07.04.08 Anna Richardson
Ebury is publishing the autobiography of "Strictly Come Dancing" judge Len Goodman this autumn.
Better Late than Never was bought by publishing director Andrew Goodfellow through Paul Moreton at Bell Lomax Moreton on behalf of Jackie Gill at Jackie Gill Management. The book sees Goodman recounting his journey from being a grocer's boy from London's East End to becoming one of Britain's best-loved TV stars.
Goodfellow said: "Len is loved in my household from the 4-year-olds to the 40-year-olds and I think that is replicated across the nation. In an age of ill-deserved and instant celebrity, he is someone who deserves his fame and knows how to wear it well."
According to the publisher, the books is "full of Len's gentlemanly charm, humour and good will". It will be published on 4th September (Royal HB, £18.99) to coincide with the sixth series of "Strictly Come Dancing", and Goodman will promote widely on publication.
