Bunnyman to Transworld
01.04.08 Anna Richardson
Transworld has bought a memoir Ian McCulloch, lead singer of Echo and the Bunnymen.
Simon Taylor acquired world rights in the as-yet-untitled memoir from Simon Benham at Mayer Benham, with plans to publish in summer 2009.
"The response in-house to Mac’s material was tremendous: it seems we've more than our fair share of serious Bunnymen fans working here," said Taylor. "And the man himself is a one off, an iconic figure whose passion for words, music, and for his city, is utterly infectious."
Echo and the Bunnymen are arguably the most influential band to have emerged from post-Beatles Liverpool. After nearly three decades together, they continue to write, record and take their music on the road
