07.03.08 Anna Richardson
A & C Black is publishing the official tie-in to "Deadliest Catch", one of the Discovery Channel's most popular series.
"Deadliest Catch" follows the struggles of crab fishermen on the Bering Sea and is one of the channel’s highest rating series. It won four Emmy nominations in 2007, and last year's season finale attracted 3.85 million viewers.
The tie-in, Deadliest Catch: Desperate Hours, will be published in May to coincide with the launch of the fourth TV series. It is backed by the Discovery Channel and features photography alongside personal accounts of the fishermen’s adventures, additional stories and background information on the dangerous crab fishing industry.
According to the publisher, the book will "appeal to anyone who has followed the series or who enjoys exciting action and adrenaline sports". It has "excellent" general trade as well as nautical trade potential.
