Exclusive Barnes from LRB
04.03.08 Jo Young
The London Review Bookshop is publishing a limited-edition signed run of 100 quarter-bound and 25 fully leather-bound copies of Julian Barnes' Nothing to Be Frightened Of this week.
The title, published in association with Jonathan Cape, is the sixth in the stores exclusive series, inaugurated with Barnes' 2005 novel Arthur and George. Previous titles include Ian McEwan's On Chesil Beach and Alan Bennett's Uncommon Reader.
"All the releases have been co-editions so far, which we will continue, hopefully at a rate of two or three a year, but the next step is potentially to publish on our own," said the London Review Bookshop's Andrew Stilwell.
