21.02.08 Benedicte Page
An online protest group has been set up on Facebook in the battle to stop cuts to government funding for the Public Lending Right. "PLR—Protect Public Lending Rights in the UK" has more than 130 members, including authors Adele Parks, Stella Duffy, Hari Kunzru, Louise Bagshawe and Sharon Canavar.
The group encourages members to sign an online petition on a government website (petitions.pm.gov.uk/plr-funding).
