DK inks mobile content deal
Dorling Kindersley has agreed terms with the mobile media content company Mobifusion to deliver branded mobile content products to consumers around the world. The global deal will see content coming from DK's health, reference, fitness and lifestyle, food and drink and travel titles, made available to mobile users through both handset manufacturers and network operators.
The partnership will also create the opportunity for new readers to discover some of DK's catalogue.
Andrew Phillips, DK's chief operating officer, said of the deal: "We are delighted with this deal with Mobifusion Inc. and the opportunity it will create for DK to reach millions of mobile users on a global scale. This is exactly the direction that we want to be heading towards in terms of tapping into multi-channel outlets for DK’s content."
Pavan Mandhani, founder and c.e.o. of Mobifusion, added: "Indian mobile subscribers are demanding more branded, personalized, and localized content from their providers and Mobifusion is committed to actively supporting the needs of the country’s users using our patented technologies.
