Borders recruits marketing specialist
12.02.08 Alison Flood
Borders has created the new posts of head of marketing and head of store operations. The marketing position will be filled by Neill Fitton, who joins from retail design and consultancy firm DisplayPlan UK, where he was strategic development director. James Sneddon, currently a Borders regional manager, is taking on the operations role.
New c.e.o. Philip Downer said: "There will be few managers in the business unfamiliar with James. His experience, his enthusiasm, his eye for detail and his passion for driving sales and profitability are second to none. Neill's retail experience with brands such as Woolworths, Asda and Coty will ensure that he brings strong leadership, energy and focus to the marketing team and I am delighted to welcome him on board at this exciting time. I am greatly looking forward to working with both James and Neil over the coming months."
