Wigglesworth leaves EUK
Lloyd Wigglesworth has decided to leave his position as managing director of EUK, parent of book wholesaler Betrams/THE. Wigglesworth, who oversaw the integration of both THE and Bertrams within the EUK business, will also retire from the main board.
Trevor Bish-Jones, chief executive of Woolworths Group, said: "EUK is now entering a different stage of its development, where the focus turns toward further improving customer service and enhancing operational efficiency."
Steve Lewis, currently managing director for retail and distribution at Woolworths and a main board Director, will assume the role of managing director of EUK. At Woolworths, Simon Turner will join as retail and distribution operations director.
Bish-Jones added: "The new team is ideally suited to take EUK, now a substantial business with a strong market position, to the next phase of growth and to build on recent progress made in Woolworths."
