29.01.08 Tom Tivnan
Gary McKeone has become the third former Arts Council England (ACE) literature director to call on the organisation to restore Arcadia Books’s funding.
McKeone has joined past literature directors Charles Osborne and Dr Alastair Niven in signing a letter protesting the ACE cuts. Over 650 other luminaries have singed the letter, including Doris Lessing, Vanessa Redgrave and Ian McEwan.
ACE is set to make final funding decisions this week with letters going out to threatened organisations on 1st February.
