15.01.08 Joel Rickett
Matt Seaton, deputy editor of the Guardian's popular blogging site Comment Is Free, is to chair the forthcoming digital publishing seminar run by The Bookseller. Seaton, who previously oversaw book serialisations for the Guardian, will lead debate and suggest ways for publishers to develop their direct relationships with consumers.
Also confirmed to speak at the 31st January "Reaching Readers Online 2008" event is Chris Hamilton-Emery, director of independent poetry press Salt Publishing, which has transformed its sales via a pioneering web presence. Channel 4's head of digital marketing will look at lessons for books from the wider broadcast industry.
