Single paragraph novel from Faber tyro

Lee Brackstone at Faber has bought a second novel by 21-year-old author Richard Milward. Ten Storey Love Song is written in one unbroken paragraph, and details the adventures of Bobby the Artist in the London art world and his native north-east.

Brackstone, who previously bought Milward's critically acclaimed début Apples (Faber, 2007), acquired world rights in the new book from Cathryn Summerhayes at William Morris. He compared Ten Storey Love Song to Irvine Welsh's Trainspotting. "Ten Storey is fearless, funny and unforgettable." he said.

Apples will be published by Canongate later this year in the US and Faber has also done deals for translation into German, Spanish, Italian and Dutch. Faber plans to publish Ten Storey Love Song in March 2009.
