Dunford deals with Gregory
Emma Dunford, who recently joined Piatkus as senior editor from agency Jane Gregory, has made her first acquisition, snapping up two crime novels by début novelist Nick Brownlee from her former employer. Dunford bought UK and Commonwealth rights, excluding Canada, in Brownlee’s Bait and his other, untitled, novel.
Set in Mombasa, on the east coast of Kenya, Bait introduces a crime-busting double act. "Brownlee’s writing is fresh and energetic, gritty but charming and he is an incredibly exciting new addition to the Piatkus list," Dunford said.
