Greene & Heaton takes Bath prize from PFD
09.01.08 Joel Rickett
Literary agency Greene & Heaton is taking over sponsorship of the writing prize at Bath Spa University. The annual award, for the best novel produced by a student on the Creative Writing MA, was previously run by rival agency PFD, but the university decided to switch sponsors following an uncertain patch for the company.
The inaugural Greene & Heaton prize will be announced at this year's Bath Literary Festival in February, with the winner receiving £500 and the possibility of being represented by the agency. Graduates of the Bath Spa MA course to land publishing deals in recent years include Nikita Lalwani, Ally Kennen, Jenni Mills, Tricia Wastvedt and Paul Meyer.
