Bird brains at Collins
18.12.07 John Ryan
Collins has paid a high five-figure sum to acquire UK rights in The Smart Swarm: How Ants, Bees and Birds Teach Us to Cope with a Complex World, by National Geographic editor Peter Miller.
In the book, Miller explores that way in which technologies are inspired by the natural world, using, among many examples, behavioural lessons borrowed from Argentine ant colonies for clues on relieving airport congestion. The £16.99 hardback will be published on 5th October next year.
