Leith moves to Quercus

Prue Leith is moving to Quercus for her next two novels. Jane Wood bought world rights, excluding the US, in Choral Society, a novel about three single women in their 50s, plus a second book from Jane Turnbull. Choral Society will be published in spring 2009.

Wood has also snapped up world English rights in a “soft” crime novel by Domenica de Rosa, who writes women’s fiction for Headline Review. The Crossing Places, the first of a series featuring a “happily overweight” forensic psychologist, will be written under the name Elly Griffiths. The deal was struck with Tif Loehnis at Janklow & Nesbit; Wood will publish in spring 2009.
