Galloway moves to Granta
Novelist Janice Galloway is moving from Cape to Granta to write two memoirs of her childhood and adolescence. Bella Shand bought UK and Commonwealth rights from Derek Johns at A P Watt for “a good five-figure sum”. The first book, This is Not About Me, due in autumn 2008, focuses on growing up in Ayrshire with an alcoholic father, a resilient mother and a bullying older sister. The as-yet-untitled follow-up will deal with Galloway’s adolescence.See Also
