Pan's 'Bridget Jones for the 21st century'

Rebecca Saunders at Pan Macmillan has paid a five-figure sum for UK and Commonwealth rights exc Canada in two novels by actress Lucy-Anne Holmes.
The first novel, Spinster's Quest: 50 Ways to Meet a Lover, is due in February 2009. It will chart the adventures of "a Bridget Jones for the 21st century", and had its genesis in Holmes' blog cataloguing her real-life love woes. The agent was Rowan Lawton at William Morris.
