Atlantic lures Oke
28.11.07 Tom Tivnan
Faber's northern European account manager Bunmi Oke is moving to fellow Independent Alliance publisher Atlantic to take on the new position of sales manager. Oke, who assumes the role on 18th February, has been with Faber for the past three years.
Reporting to m.d. Daniel Scott, Oke will be Atlantic's sales contact for both home and export sales. Scott said: "The appointment of Bunmi as our sales manager is an exciting step in developing our sales activities worldwide. Her vision, strategic thinking and sales drive will be a massive asset to us."
The move is the latest in Atlantic's reshuffle of its senior team as the independent publisher aims to expand its business. Earlier this month, m.d. Toby Mundy became c.e.o., deputy m.d. and sales and marketing director Scott was promoted to m.d., and Ravi Mirchandani, the former William Heinemann publishing director who joined Atlantic in March 2007, was named editor-in-chief.
Oke said: "Having had the pleasure of selling Atlantic's wide-ranging and dynamic list internationally over the past three years, I am looking forward to the new challenges of my role within the company."
