Janson-Smith quits Christopher Little

Patrick Janson-Smith is leaving the Christopher Little Literary Agency to set up on his own. Janson-Smith, who departs on 7th December, joined Christopher Little in 2005 after 24 years at Transworld. His as yet unnamed agency will start business in January 2008.

Janson-Smith said: "The past two years with CLLA have been exhilarating. I have learned an immense amount under the wings of a true professional, but have decided, even at this late stage in my career, that I must learn to fly for myself. It’s now or never. My intention immediately is to have a break until the end of December, then get back to business in the New Year."

Christopher Little added: "The agency is sorry to see Patrick go, but we wish him every success in his future endeavours."
