R&J Book Club spin-offs take shape
15.11.07 Anna Richardson
"Richard & Judy" producer Amanda Ross revealed that the planned TV spin-offs of the couple's Book Club will take shape as two series on Channel 4.
Following the duo's retirement from their daily show next year, the book-only series will air in 10 and eight half-hour episodes and will feature elements of the Best Reads and Summer Reads, focusing on one Book Club selection each episode. The series will also feature other book-related celebrity interviews and segments, which currently feature as part of the daily chat show.
Ross added: “We’ve got a whole year of Richard & Judy left in its present state and that’s what everybody needs to be concentrating on. A year in television is an eternity.”
