Neil and Rand step up at Bertrams

Michael Neil has been appointed m.d. of the Bertram Group, while Graham Rand has been promoted to commercial director. Neil had been acting m.d. of the company since Terry Reilly left the business in July. He will report to Lloyd Wigglesworth, chairman of the Bertram Group and managing director of parent company Entertainment UK.
Rand had been general manager for books at THE until Bertrams took over the wholesaler earlier this year. He will start in his new job on 1st December.
Neil said he was "delighted" to head up the Bertram Group. "It is a great company with great staff and great customers and I look forward to an exciting future working with EUK and Woolworths. I am also delighted to be working with Graham Rand who has achieved so much with THE."
Rand added: "It is great to continue to be part of the Bertrams|THE team and I am very much looking forward to working with Michael and my other new colleagues in the new organisation.

I think that this is a really great combination . Graham is one of the most experieced and accomplished Commercial Directors in the book trade and Michael , whom I worked with , a really excellent team builder .
