Tetbury indie closes
16.10.07 Graeme Neill
Gloucestershire independent The Tolsey Bookshop is closing after almost 20 years trading. Phillip and Juliet Foster, the owners of Tetbury-based store, will retire to Norwich when the bookshop closes on 20th October.
"We couldn't sell the shop as a going concern so we made the decision to close it down," said Phillip Foster. The bookshop was awarded a Royal Warrant of appointment to the Prince of Wales eight years ago for the supply of books and stationery.
Foster said it is the only independent bookshop to have this warrant.
