Fopp's Bradbeer to Waterstone's
24.07.07 Graeme Neill
The former head of e-commerce at failed retailer Fopp has been hired by Waterstone's to become its new head of internet operations. Matt Bradbeer has joined the company and will work alongside the retailer’s current head of internet operations, Kieron Smith, before Smith joins Samedaybooks in September as its manager of e-commerce operations.
Bradbeer has nine years of e-commerce experience, working for John Lewis Direct and Buy.com before he joined Fopp. His is the second appointment Waterstone's has made from Fopp since the latter went into administration last month. Sarah Callaghan, Fopp book buyer, was hired to work initially on children's books within its commercial team.
