Makinson to chair Bookseller seminar

John Makinson, worldwide chief executive of Penguin, will lead debate at The Bookseller's forthcoming environmental business seminar. "Turning over a New Leaf: the Business for Going Green" will be held at the London Stock Exchange on 24th May; Makinson will chair and moderate the discussion.
The seminar aims to highlight what should, could and is being done by publishers and retailers to improve environmental responsibility. A keynote presentation will be given by Chris Mottershead, distinguished adviser on energy and the environment for BP; other speakers include publisher Alastair
Sawday and Ian Blythe, group environment manager of Boots.
