Bloomsbury's Hosseini indie offer
Bloomsbury will restrict all signed copies of Khaled Hosseini's A Thousand Splendid Suns (£16.99, 22nd May) to independent booksellers.
Hosseini will sign 1,500 first-edition copies, each with a yellow extra page confirming it as one of a limited run. "We wanted to give the indies something special and unique to thank them for all their hard work," said marketing manager Jessica Yarrow.
The signed editions have the same ISBN as standard copies, and are available at 50% discount through Bloomsbury reps. The move comes as Bloomsbury faces mounting pressure to offer indies special promotional packages on Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.
