Cole to crack US
13.02.07 Alison Bone
Top Headline author Martina Cole will be published in the US for the first time in spring 2008 after securing a US deal with sister company Hachette Book Group USA. Headline rights director Sarah Thomson, working in conjunction with Cole's agent Darley Anderson, has sold US rights in two books to Jamie Raab of Warner Books for a substantial six-figure sum.
The first title in the deal, Close, will be published in the States in spring 2008, backed by a "far-reaching" marketing and publicity campaign. Pictured are Headline deputy m.d. Jane Morpeth, Martina Cole, Jamie Raab, Sarah Thomson and Darley Anderson.
