Flatman halves its losses
David Flatman, the Scottish-based company behind Bookworld, Bargain Books and Stockbridge Bookshop, has posted a pretax loss of just over £207,000 for its latest year, the Scotsman reports.
That compares with a deficit of £555,646 the year before. In the same period, sales at the family-owned firm rose to £29.6 million, up from £28.1m.
