Michel in demand at London Evening Standard auction

Bidding is underway for several literary-themed prizes at the London Evening Standard's Christmas charity auction in aid of children's charity Kids Company.

Offers for a meeting with Caroline Michel, chief executive of literary agency Peters Fraser and Dunlop, had today already reached £1,140, sum described as "fantastic" by the newspaper.

Other starry prizes up for grabs include a guided tour of the Roald Dahl museum by Dahl's granddaughter Sophie Dahl, lunch at Soho House with Andrew O'Hagan, lunch at the Ivy with Anthony Horowitz and comedy cocktails with Kathy Lette and Ronnie Ancona.

The auction runs until Monday 14th December.
