A leading international Publisher of books, directories, magazines and digital platforms is seeking an experienced Project Editor/Team Leader to lead their project editorial team based in their HQ in Singapore.

The Project Editor will be responsible for managing a team of 5-6 junior project editors and their main duties will comprise: training and equipping project editorial team with the skills required; supervise and mentor a small team of project Editors; supervise and manage quality of copy-editing and proofreading; ensure implementation of set processes and standards for project management, copy-editing and proofreading; manage projects with third party providers e.g. copy-editing agencies and digital production houses; communicate and manage production values and expectations on a project basis with internal stakeholders.

This dynamic and all-embracing role will require an experienced editor with a good understanding of current online and offline publishing trends and excellent copy editing and project management skills, as well as a familiarity with the current publishing and copy-editing process, requirements and standards. Strong leadership and problem-solving skills, along with good communication and English language skills are essential. The ideal candidate will have polished interpersonal skills with an ability to work with other publishing functions (both internal and external) in order to effectively manage projects on time, and to budget. Someone with a global mindset and the ability to work across cultures and geographies would fit in well. Knowledge of media products will be advantageous.
