Description:
A leading international academic publisher based in Oxfordshire, is looking for a Systems Service Manager (Journals) to join their IT Department. You will be the trusted ‘go to’ face for one or more systems across the company.
Key duties:
- Be the primary point of communication between business users and the IT team
- Be the primary point of contact between the company and any 3rd party vendor
- Ensure all Incidents, Service Requests, and System Changes are dealt with efficiently
- Establish and maintain accessible technical and administrative documentation for system(s)
- Provide guidance and assistance to colleagues in any aspect of program design, creation, testing and documentation
Experience / skills required:
- You will have ITIL Foundation / Intermediate qualifications
- Excellent communication skills and good analytical ability are essential
- You will have a good knowledge of a wide area of information systems concepts and practice
- You will have a deep knowledge of at least one area of specialisation
- A rational and organised approach to the tasks is required
