Description:

Our client is an established, independent publisher of beautiful, high-quality trade and educational/academic books, looking for an experienced editor to work on their expanding list of illustrated professional and student titles in art, architecture and design.
In this position you will be responsible for undertaking development work on a number of titles a year and taking these projects from manuscripts to final proofs. The job involves working closely with authors and running a team of freelance designers, copy-editors and picture researchers. Ensuring their books are produced to a high standard, to budget and on schedule is vital.
The successful candidate will combine excellent editorial skills with solid experience of using InDesign and Adobe Photoshop. They will have a good eye for detail, excellent communication and organisational skills, and have experience in project managing the publications process for print and e-books.
