Are you looking for a new challenge and the opportunity to take your commissioning expertise to the next level?  Our client is an established and highly successful academic publisher and they are looking for a talented and motivated Senior Commissioning Editor.  They offer flexible working, either from their HQ in Central London or home-working can be considered.  This is a rare opportunity to develop your skills in a highly regarded publishing house, with excellent opportunities for career progression.

As Senior Commissioning Editor you will be responsible for identifying and acquiring titles as well as developing relevant networks. Other duties include: to negotiate contracts, manage author communications and issues, and to prepare and present proposals and financials to publishing committee.

The successful candidate will be a resourceful team player with a proven track record of commissioning experience within academic publishing as well as excellent negotiation, organisation and networking skills. Experience of identifying and recruiting potential authors is a must.  You will have strong interpersonal and communication skills and be an articulate go-getter who enjoys working with titles in chosen field.  In return, the company offers a competitive salary with great benefits and a flexible working environment.
