Description:

A leading fiction publisher based in  London is looking to appoint a Senior Brand Manager for their specialist fiction imprints. This is an excellent opportunity to join an exciting and forward thinking company with internationally recognised branding. 

Reporting to the Marketing Controller, you will work in conjunction with the Marketing, Editorial and Sales team to provide key input in shaping the programme with the aim of maximising profitability. You will also work with the Editorial and National Account Managers to ensure effective communication with both the sales team and the retailers.

You will be responsible for managing the planning and implementation of effective marketing and publicity campaigns to popular titles and authors; producing creative and commercially focused consumer marketing and publicity plans, overseeing all social media campaigns and liaising internally and externally with authors and PR agencies where appropriate. You will have overall responsibility to ensure the creation and delivery of high-impact, persuasive presentations to the Sales team and to oversee the collation, copy-writing and design coordination of popular fiction titles.

The successful candidate will possess a flawless track record of delivering effective customer marketing and publicity campaigns with demonstrable retail marketing experience and a proven expertise in digital marketing and social media. You must be creatively minded, with outstanding communication skills and a sound commercial understanding. With excellent organisational, analytical and leadership skills you will be confident in presenting to an audience with the ability to influence opinion at a senior level. In addition, a good knowledge of the fiction market would be a distinct advantage. An enthusiasm for reading and publishing is a must.
