Our client is an internationally renowned STM publisher of digital and print materials and they are looking to appoint a Sales Manager to drive sales and achieve overall growth in Spain of their English and Spanish products. This is a permanent role based in our client’s Barcelona HQ.
Focussing on the Academic and Professional markets the Sales Manager for Spain will be responsible for managing a small sales team to drive both print and digital product sales and for meeting the company’s overall financial sales targets. You will be close to the market needs and in a position to identify clear strategies for continued growth. Your main duties will include: creating and implementing a sales activity plan, team management, institutional sales, maintaining and developing relationships with faculty teachers and key customers, reporting regularly to the Country Manager, and liaising closely with internal departments. You will be responsible for managing your own accounts and meeting individual targets as well as managing the team of Sales Reps and formulating the strategy to increase market share.
With proven sales experience in a relevant sector in Spain the successful candidate will have excellent communication skills in both Spanish and English (written & spoken) as well as strong negotiation and people management skills. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the Academic and Government Health sectors in Spain. You will be a motivated and hard-working team player with a positive attitude and a decisive mindset, and be confident of your planning, prioritization and organization skills. This role will involve regular travel within the territory.
