Our client is a provider of online information services for the academic, government and corporate research communities.  They are looking to recruit an Area Sales Manager for Continental Europe to be based in either the Netherlands or ideally Berlin. 

Working closely with colleagues in the EMEA Sales Team and at Head Office, the Area Sales Manager would be responsible for all sales activity and the key accounts within the territory.  Your duties will be to develop existing business relationships and new business opportunities; to plan and implement new business campaigns within the region; to make regular face to face and telephone contact with existing and potential customers; to demonstrate company products; and to attend conferences, exhibitions, seminars and open days. Keeping up to date with all developments in the target industry will also be an essential part of the role.

With fluent language skills in at least two European languages, combined with a passion for sales and a customer focused attitude, the successful candidate will be an ambitious and results oriented professional with proven sales experience, ideally in the electronic publishing sector.  You will have excellent communication and organisation skills and be a self motivated individual with strong presentation skills and effective interpersonal skills.  A clean, valid driving license is essential as is willingness to travel and the ability to work remotely and independently. In return, the company offers a competitive salary and commission package.
