The job:  A blue chip Children’s Publisher is looking to appoint a Publishing Director/Publisher to manage their established and much admired Fiction list. Reporting to the MD, the job holder will lead a dedicated and talented editorial team, playing a pivotal role in the direction of the Fiction publishing programme. Publishing books in traditional and digital format, the person appointed will have excellent creative flair and possess a range of management skills.

The person:  The ideal candidate will be a talented and driven Publishing Director or Publisher with significant experience of, and demonstrable passion for Children’s Fiction publishing. Excellent project management and new project development skills are essential. Other key requirements are experience of commissioning authors, freelance editors and liaising with design, production and sales departments on all aspects of visual presentation. This key role would suit a highly creative, innovative and commercial publishing professional with a keen eye on the future of Children’s Fiction publishing, both in traditional and digital formats.
