Salary : £50,000 - £60,000 Basic

Our client, a leading publisher based in London is looking to appoint a Publisher, Online Products. 

The Publisher, Online Products is responsible for the development of concepts for new and innovative online products for the library/institutional market globally. Working closely with global teams in editorial, marketing, sales and online products, they will be responsible for sourcing and developing new ideas, validating them with market feedback and then creating the business proposition. 

The role:

• Reporting to the Editorial Director, you will focus on developing new ideas for online products for the library market. You will work closely with global teams in editorial, marketing, sales and new product development; as well as working with librarians and academic researchers to understand the markets needs of our customers.

• You will co-ordinate the generation of new ideas for new online products for the library market, and develop ideas into business plans fleshing out commercial potential, cost and competition.

• You will be required to commission content for online products where required.

• You will need to keep abreast of industry developments, and in particular new products launched by competitors, and explore how the company might take advantage of new emerging publishing opportunities.

The candidates:

• The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of the library market, knowledge of journal publishing and/or reference publishing for the library market.

• You will have strong experience of online product publishing for the library market.
