Description:

A Provider of Health and Medical Journals is hiring a Publisher (or someone at a Senior Editorial level such as a Journals Manager or Journals Publishing Manager) who is looking for the next step in their career with one of the biggest names in the industry and who is keen to work with high revenue and high profile society-owned journals within the firm's EMEA portfolio.

While having a PhD or a scientific background is desirable it's not essential. What would be essential is previous experience in managing journals, ideally with societies.

Main Responsibilities:

-  Programme Management:

-  Work with the Publishing Director and Editorial Director to ensure effective programme management
- Lead the renewal teams in renewing important contracts
- Acquire new titles in accordance with strategic and operating plans
- Lead and develop market relationships with societies, editors, partners, customers, and key influencers

The Publisher will also be responsible for two of the more prestigious journals (British Association of Dermatology and Diabetic UK). A key part of this position is relationship management with the societies, strategic planning and product development.
