Cambridge Examinations Publishing is a joint educational publishing unit owned by Cambridge ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) and Cambridge University Press. We are looking for a Publisher to join our growing team and play a key role in the strategic development of our successful range of exam preparation materials designed for primary and secondary school students.

This is a temporary post covering a period of maternity leave, initially for 7 months.  The successful candidate will be involved in the development of a range of strategies across this diverse list, as well as the research, commissioning and initial planning of a variety of projects.

The ideal applicant will have extensive ELT editorial experience; this includes experience of the commissioning process for print and digital projects. At least three years’ experience of teaching English in two countries, including Cambridge ESOL exam preparation classes, is also essential. Substantial knowledge of the exams market and familiarity with exam preparation materials is required, and list management and development skills are desirable. 

This role requires strong commercial awareness, as well as excellent communication, organisation and people skills, and a high degree of self-reliance.
