Description:

An exciting opportunity for a senior editorial professional to join a leading company to drive the development of a new list. This position would suit a self-starter with a proven track record of innovation and strategic development. Offices are based in London but the role can be home-office based, with frequent trips to London.

Key duties:

• Develop and build a new portfolio of eBooks and long-form digital content
• Responsible for the acquisition and development of new and original fiction and non-fiction
• Establish relationships with authors, publishers and agents
• Work closely with colleagues to coordinate sales and promotional activity for all titles
• Liaise with technical and business teams and external vendors

Experience / skills required:

• Extensive editorial experience in trade fiction and non-fiction at a senior level
• Self-starter with the ability to work autonomously and on own initiative
• Proven experience of developing new innovative strategies and ideas
• An established range of contacts within trade publishing, including writers and agents
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to earn trust and influence
• Solid knowledge of new publishing technology and excellent project management skills
