A central London based Leading Digital Educational Publisher is now looking to recruit a Project Manager for an exciting opportunity to oversee a major metadata project for our clients widely used UK service.

Reporting to the Editorial Operations Manager, the primary aim will be to oversee the mapping of the company’s content archive. You will be responsible for reporting the progress of the project, ensuring that it is on time; work with Editorial and Technical staff to define the content alignment strategy and implementing it. Other tasks will include the recruitment and management of project contractors as required; liaising with the design and development staff to incorporate tagging tools into content management systems as well as to integrate curriculum data into search and browse technologies.

The ideal candidate will be looking for a hybrid role between digital technology and content with real expertise in digital content project management. You will be able to coordinate and motivate the project team, ensure that the project is undertaken in the most efficient manner possible, with clear communication, defined goals and roles for everyone involved. You will also be able to create briefs and specs for developers and designers, have excellent communication skills, attentive to detail, and a solid understanding of website technology and processes. It would also be advantageous if they already have a familiarity with educational curriculum as well as content management methodologies, project management software, or educational content delivery.

This will be a full-time contract role until the end of September 2013. Some travel may be required.
