A leading life sciences publisher, based in Oxfordshire, is looking to recruit a Production Editor to work on their extensive book resources list. If you have a passion for promoting sciences, some publishing experience and a life science degree or background, this could be the role for you! Your responsibilities will include briefing and liaising with freelancers, indexers, designers; preparing layouts and artwork; ensuring all manuscripts are ready for typsetting; maintaining a high standard across all content, artwork and material produced; collating all author corrections, advise on and subedit indexes and be responsible for the highest quality final product. Ideally you will have some production or publishing experience, a degree or background in science, an organised and methodical approach to your workload,  a demonstrated understanding of DTP, copyediting and proofreading and excellent communication skills.
