This is a great opportunity for a production professional looking for part-time work, to work on a prestigious journal list within the academic journals division of a leading publisher of STM and learned journals.  The role, which is based in Basingstoke, is a maternity cover contract and 23 hours per week, will involve liaising with authors, editors, typesetters and printers to ensure publications are on time and to schedule; monitor copyflow and quality and maintain cost files; respond to queries and monitor manuscripts which are submitted to production.

This is a key position in the team and requires a person who is able to manage and prioritise their workload, as well as able to work to tight deadlines and deal with customers in a professional manner. You will ideally have knowledge of journal or book production processes and production tracking systems and copy editing skills are desirable.
